I have a housemate who is taking a lot of medications, including psychiatric meds, and throws the empty bottles in the trash with the labels intact, showing her name, medication, and my house address. She is a mean person and recently, after I confided in another housemate about this issue, they both ganged up on me, accusing me of going through the trash and threatening to sue me for trespassing and report me to my job. I am the owner of the house and the one who takes out the trash. As a pharmacist, I am concerned about HIPAA rules. What should I do?
