I have a dog and I've been living in this place for 2 years. I have an ESA letter for my dog but the landlord is charging me $500 and will not waive the fee. What state are you in? It matters because laws vary by location. Minnesota. What steps have you taken so far? I've talked with my landlord but they are saying that I have to pay the fee no matter what. Can the landlord charge me a fee if I didn't provide them with the ESA letter before getting the emotional support animal?
