I have a legal issue against the Village of Castile utilities. My 900' driveway has neighbors' trees pressing down on utility electric lines. The village claims the lines were never approved and are not their responsibility to clear. How could lines be brought to a house without village approval, and what is my recourse as a 100% disabled Vietnam vet on a fixed income?

I made a truck rental/purchase agreement for my 1984 Dodge pickup truck for a total of $985.00 to be paid by seven monthly payments, with the stipulation of the return of the truck within one week of my request due to lack of payment. The renter is 3 months behind in payments, has hidden the truck, and the police have told me it is a civil matter. How can I void my personal liability for the truck and induce the police to assist me in the repossession of the truck when I locate it?

I purchased a business in March. The previous owner had only been there a few months before she "realized she could not work the shop on her own due to injuries she had from an accident". There were a few parts to the original offer including her inventory, POS system, and a paint line and distributorship. There was no non-compete signed. She stayed in the shop working with the paint line as a vendor for only 3 months and now has opened a shop across the street, taking the paint line, the business name of the business I bought, and the style of the shop. Is what she did illegal? Certainly unethical! Maybe not a non-compete issue but a consumer fraud issue??

I saw a psychotherapist for ten years due to an abusive and traumatic childhood. After terminating therapy, I discovered she published a 'fictional' novel containing scenarios from my personal history. While she didn't use my name, I'm disturbed that she used my trauma for her own gain. Do I have any private legal recourse or any recourse at all?
