I have a noise violation issue where my neighbor is playing loud music above the ordinance limit in Garner, NC. I have spoken to a lawyer who said it's a civil issue and they have no authority to enforce, but the legal limit is 55dB. I am going to small court with the person for threatening me and trying to have them removed from the townhouse they live in next to me. I am concerned that I will not be able to remove the person although they are a tenant and the police would not give them a ticket. I have called the police about 20 or more times and already have an out-of-court settlement with this person of a no-contact order made about 7 years and 2 months ago, and am concerned that the court will not recognize it. In addition, it was a settlement for her assaulting me - out of court mediation. I also have a case in small court for the breach of contract and another assault which the tenant said she organized in 2019 and damages of $10,000. I am concerned that the contract of 7 years and 2 months will not be valid. Also, would like to know if the small court is the right approach or if it should be handled by another court for more damages than $10k.

My daughter borrowed $300K from me and used a house as collateral, but I didn't record the deed of trust initially. Now, she is facing foreclosure on multiple properties, and I want to know: 1) Can I be a junior lien on the first house used as collateral, even if I didn't record first? 2) Will my recorded deed of trust and promissory note cause problems for her to fix or cure her liens? 3) Is the promissory note for $300K still binding, and does she still have to pay me?

On section 3 of an AOP (Assumption of Parental Rights) it states: 'Name of parent, guardian, or agency having custody.' Can you explain what this means legally? It has my name there and is notarized and signed by me and the father.

I need to obtain a court order to get a copy of a death certificate for my ex-girlfriend who passed away. She was on the title of a home we co-owned in Mexico, and I need the death certificate to clear the title. I've tried to apply to vital records, but they told me I don't qualify without a court order. How can I proceed?
