I have a question about someone else's property being left at his former address. The person left the property in January, and his stuff is still in the house. The landlord gave permission to change the locks, but the former tenant claims he can't be locked out because he still gets mail there. What are the legal implications of this situation?

I am owed $350.00 from Dr. Jason Nakkon of Nexus Pain Clinic in Utah. I paid this amount upfront for a new patient office visit because my insurance information was not entered correctly, and my claims were not filed properly for reimbursement. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this with the clinic's billing department, they have not followed through. The primary insurance has paid, but the secondary insurance was never billed, leaving a balance of around $35.00. The office manager refused to reimburse me the initial $350.00 due to this small balance. What can I do to recover this amount?

My friend Kenzie lost her job after taking bereavement leave to put her dad's affairs in order. She worked for only 3 days at 'Pittsfield Help at Home' in Pittsfield, Illinois, and was fired under false claims of not having auto insurance. When she offered proof of insurance, her supervisor provided conflicting information, stating she was not fired but had quit. The SEIU Local union advised her to contact the Illinois Dept. of Labor. Is filing a complaint with the Illinois Dept. of Labor the right course of action, or should she check periodically with her former employer for a possible return to work?
