I have a severe chronic pancreatitis for over 3 years and noticed a big, hard node in my sternum in 2011, which was dismissed by my primary care physician as normal swelling. My pain management doctor later sent me for a scan that revealed multiple nodes in my right lobe, leading to a possible diagnosis of MAC or a tumor in my lungs. My quality of life has significantly declined due to shortness of breath, inability to sleep, and weight loss. I was also never informed about the nodes seen in a scan from February of this year. Additionally, my insurance under Prima Medical group is delaying approval for an ERCP for my bile duct per my gastroenterologist. I feel my primary care physician was neglectful and did not handle my case with care and right practices. How long have I felt mistreated, and do my current doctors believe the issue became more severe due to the delayed diagnosis?
