I have a truck loan from Capital One. I bought the truck in January of this year from a dealer. The dealer was supposed to place a lien on the truck at the time of purchase with Capital One as the lien-holder, but he did not. Now, I'm being told by Capital One that if I don't have a lien placed on the truck in their name, they will find me in default. My payments are on time every month. Can they do this?
