I have been represented by a law firm in Florida for an asbestos-related case. Over the years, I have received some compensation. They are now flying people to Florida to give depositions in this class action lawsuit. My question is, are the people giving the depositions the only ones getting the final compensation, and if so, can I demand to give a deposition due to the fact that my lungs are much worse, and I am on oxygen every day?

I want to buy a new principal residence with my share of the proceeds, but the divorce may not be final by the time escrow closes. The lender insists my ex must be on the title because we are not finally divorced, even though our marital settlement agreement states that property purchased after the effective date is the sole property of the purchasing individual. Is the lender's position accurate?
