I was fired from my part-time job at Cardinal Health, a large public company, for losing three phones in a 12-month period while out on deliveries. My employer did not contest my unemployment claim, but the EDD contested it on the grounds of misconduct, leading to a disqualification from unemployment benefits until I earned the equivalent of 5 weeks' benefits.
