I inherited a company from my father and am trying to understand financial obligations. Is the company required to have printed copies of all receipts, and what potential trouble could I face if I can't find all receipts and invoices? Additionally, I suspect one of the employees in California is not legally in the US. If he continues to work for the company, what type of trouble could we get into?

I have received the Defendants’ Emergency Motion for an Enlargement of Time. The Defendant's attorney passed the deadline to respond to my First Amended Motion and blamed me for not sending a Notice of Withdrawal, which I did not formally use but communicated intentions to withdraw. What is the best course of action: 1. Do nothing and let the court decide, 2. Respond to the motion, or 3. Consider any other options?

My employer shared my medical condition and surgery details with her wife, who then called me to discuss it, causing me significant distress. Additionally, the wife has been sending excessive text messages and visiting my workplace, which I consider stalking. I am suffering from PTSD, anxiety, and depression as a result, and I am unable to work. What legal recourse do I have?

Is it illegal for a family member who is an attorney to inappropriately inquire about my case, especially when I have politely asked them to stop? This family member continues to seek information from DCPS and my public defender, claiming it's to put family at ease, even though I choose not to share details.

I live in Brooklyn, NY and was notified today that a tax lien/judgment was filed against me on May 27th. What should I do? Equifax and Experian are reporting it as a judgment but Transunion is saying it's a lien. What's the difference between them and will either have any bearing on whether they can be removed later from my public record once I have paid it in full?
