I run a marketing firm that helps interventional radiologists find patients for specific medical procedures like uterine fibroid embolization and genicular artery embolization. An interventional cardiologist has approached my firm to help find patients for genicular artery embolization, a procedure typically performed by interventional radiologists. The cardiologist plans to have an interventional radiologist present for the first 5 procedures. If a complication occurs on a patient we helped find, is there legal exposure to my marketing firm?
