I just went through a loan modification and was denied due to a 31% debt ratio and inadequate funds for property taxes and insurance. My job went through a hiring freeze and restructuring of pay, causing me to fall behind on payments along with unexpected garnishments. I spoke with EMC to save my home and was instructed to apply for another modification. I submitted the application on October 29th, 2010, and was not given an answer until March 30th, right before CHASE acquired EMC. I did not make payments during the process and was not advised to. I believe this would be a quick resolution like my last modification, but now my options are to catch up on payments or consider an approved short sale or turning over the property. I want to save my home; what can I do?

I have an OWI case and have to take an ETG test twice a week and a drug test every other week. I was clean from August to January, but the ETG test in January showed positive for THC, and I haven't smoked weed since last May. I want to go to a jury trial and meet with the prosecutor on Wednesday morning. I don't have an attorney and can't afford one. What advice can you give me?

Someone has sent a subpoena to Gmail requesting all of my Gmail activity, IP address, and copies of sent emails. I am not involved in the civil case and have no dealings with the plaintiff or defendant. What information can Gmail provide and why would they do it? I have told them I don't want the information released, but they said I would need to file a motion to quash with the court.

My marriage is heading toward divorce, and my income is currently less than my spouse's. I plan to return to work in real estate, where I can make significant money quickly and invest in real estate. Should I get a postnuptial agreement now, or is there a way to start a business identity and run everything through my business to ensure I can keep all the real estate purchased?
