I live in an apartment in San Jose, California. Management has asked me to move furniture that is blocking walkways. The entryway to my apartment is 14' x 46" and I have a chest of drawers measuring 4' x 13.5" along the right side of the entryway, leaving a walking area of 33" deep for 4'. I am seeking legal advice on whether I need to comply with this request and what the legal minimum distance for hallways or passageways in an apartment is.
