I live in Louisiana and bought a house in 2004. My girlfriend moved in, and we got married in 2007, but I never added her name to the house. She moved out in 2009 and returned in 2010 to try to make it work. Now, in 2012, it's not working. Is she entitled to any part of the house, even if I'm still paying the mortgage and we have separate bank accounts? I pay the house note and all the bills except for the lights.

No, she is not directly entitled to any part of the house. However, she can make a claim for a share...

Is it illegal for a doctor to not release medical records even when I signed a medical release form? My new doctor needs the records so I can be seen, and my old doctor is ignoring the request. I have called for 2 weeks asking about my records, and the receptionist keeps telling me the doctor will look over it and call me, but I never get a phone call from the doctor. It's getting frustrating.

I left my job of almost 10 years on June 1, 2009, after being passed over for several management positions because I am female. The warehouse manager interviewed me for at least one of the positions with questions like, 'You don't really want to work in the warehouse, do you?' and made other derogatory comments about women in the warehouse in meetings. I have substantial documentation but need to find someone who will take this on a contingency basis as I can't afford to pay out of pocket.

I have a trial tomorrow regarding a dangerous dog and dog at large charge. My 8-month-old pitbull puppy was peacefully going to the bathroom in my fenced backyard when my neighbor's German Shepherd, which was scratching at our conjoined rotten fence, got my dog's attention. My puppy went after the fence and got under a hole at the bottom of the fence, which was on my neighbor's side and not replaced by them. My puppy then bit the German Shepherd, and both myself and my neighbor were bitten while trying to separate them. My neighbor claims my puppy bit her, but the dog is not dangerous and was not at large. What can I do?
