I live in North Carolina and need to move to Georgia due to my job. My leasing contract does not mention early termination, and the landlord told me I have to pay the entire year until they find a new tenant. I read the NC laws and found the 42-42 law, but it doesn't address paying for the whole year for early leaving. What are my obligations under North Carolina law?

In 2013, a relative with a DUI habitual record was insured by 'The General' in Florida. They had two DUI convictions in South Carolina and spent a year in Work Release in Florida. What would have been the guidelines for their insurance, and why would the state and insurance company give him a license without conditions to prevent repeat offenses?

I won my SSD case for Organic Brain Disorder, bipolar disorder, and dysthymia. I am 51 and was ordered by the judge to pick a representative payee. I plan to choose my husband. Will he be able to pay my credit card bills from my monthly check? What exactly can he pay for and what can I use this money for without getting in trouble?

Does the public have the right to see the review of the Florida Fire Marshall's office regarding its requirement to determine whether a particular statute would have any 'economic impact on small businesses'? What if the Agency did not proceed with a formal written review, but made a determination based on an alleged informal investigation? How much of that information is or should become public knowledge under the Sunshine laws of the State of Florida? Would gross negligence or worse in such an investigation constitute a basis for a lawsuit against the implementation of the law?
