I'm a member of a construction union #79 in NYC. I was denied access to my annuity funds to pay my college tuition for my final class. I appealed their decision and was again denied. My final recourse is legal action via the court system. However, I'm not sure how to go about the next step. I'm trying to get money to pay my tuition fee, not spend money on a lawyer. What should I do?

I just booked airline tickets 20 minutes ago, but the flights I selected were not available and were substituted for a later flight. My meeting is at 1 p.m., and American Airlines (AA) doesn't have another flight that can get me there on time, nor will they cancel the tickets. Do most airline agreements allow for cancellation within 24 hours of booking?

It has been twenty-five years since my felony conviction of possession and sale of a controlled substance. My offense has been expunged. What paperwork needs to be done to have my conviction overturned and my gun rights restored? No firearms were used in my conviction, so what do I do now?

I need to file a motion to dismiss the order to vacate the appeal in a CA appellate case. The appeal was dismissed on 2-2-10 for not paying the filing fee to the court. I was in default for not filing a list of documents needed from the county clerk and had until 2-16 to file the request for documents. However, the appellate court vacated the appeal on 2-2-10. What do I need to do to reinstate the appeal, and how many days do I have to file the motion to dismiss the order to vacate the appeal?

I need to cancel my personal training contract at Gold's Gym. The trainer who signed me up said I could cancel at any time but there would be a fee. Now, the trainer is gone and the gym is saying I can only cancel if I meet the requirements of relocation or transfer the contract to someone else, which I can't do. There is no 'buy out clause' in the contract, and nothing explicitly states I can't cancel under other conditions. How can I effectively argue that the terms were misrepresented to me, and is there any immediate action I can take to resolve this?

I filed a FOIA request to some federal agencies and they would not provide the documents I requested. I appealed and lost, and the letter said to file with the Court. I did a motion for a review to Judge Arcara, the Chief Judge in NY, asking for a review and attached all the request and responses. I sent it to the Judges Chambers and not the Clerks Office. Will the Judge take it to the Clerk and file it, return it to me, or just review it and respond?
