I need to cancel my personal training contract at Gold's Gym. The trainer who signed me up said I could cancel at any time but there would be a fee. Now, the trainer is gone and the gym is saying I can only cancel if I meet the requirements of relocation or transfer the contract to someone else, which I can't do. There is no 'buy out clause' in the contract, and nothing explicitly states I can't cancel under other conditions. How can I effectively argue that the terms were misrepresented to me, and is there any immediate action I can take to resolve this?
