I'm currently working as a contractor for a company that made me sign a non-compete agreement, prohibiting me from working with any of their competitors for 18 months after the contract ends. The agreement is governed by Georgia law, but I'm in Illinois. The non-compete has a geographical limitation of 'the entire world.' Additionally, there's a confidentiality clause that covers various aspects of the company's business. I want to know if these agreements are enforceable and what my rights are as an independent contractor.

How can I acquire the money needed to purchase the other two beneficiaries' interests in our family home to own it outright? The other beneficiaries are in agreement with my intentions, and I will be receiving a substantial final cash distribution from the Estate and Trust when settled. However, I am significantly short on money to buy out the other two beneficiaries and stay in our home, which is of utmost importance to me.

What charges can be made against someone who took a lost dog, kept it for two nights, and then abandoned it on a street near a freeway, resulting in the dog's death, and did not report the found dog to authorities or the owner in Texas?

My former employer sent out an email telling people not to have contact with me at all (even on personal time) for ‘legal reasons’. There is no legal filing against me. Are their actions legal? Is there anything I can do/file legally to get them to retract their statement?

I had my car repossessed, and I believe they had no right to take it. It's only been 13 days late, and I'm supposed to have a grace period of 15 days. I've been late before, but I switched companies so I get paid at a different time now, and I told them that. They still repossessed it. Is this a valid repossession, and what can I do about it?
