I helped my cousin get a car to take her dad to appointments, and the deal was she would pay me back as soon as her settlement from a wreck came through. 15 months later, she got a very small settlement, and she started paying me $100. I kept telling her she needed to get a loan and pay me back, but it fell on deaf ears.
