I need help preparing a presentation to the Massachusetts Board of Appeal for my mother's hearing to get her driver's license back. Her license was revoked due to an immediate medical threat, but she now has a letter from her doctor and a medical clearance form stating she can drive again. Her doctor is from Hartford, CT, as she recently moved back to Massachusetts and hasn't found a new doctor yet. We live in Minnesota and my son was shot and has no medical insurance. He was released from the hospital and needed assistance while he recovered at home. I hired a personal care assistant (PCA) to assist with my son's care while at home. Does the PCA have to be licensed or have a certificate to be eligible for me to get reimbursement?

I was arrested for theft and accused of taking meds from a bus rider. The newspaper reported that I had pills in my pocket during the arrest, but the officer stated to the reporter that he didn't know where I had left the pills, which is not true as I told him I had the bottle at home. This report is affecting my ability to find work. Does this violate HIPAA laws, and can I take action against the newspaper for the false impression it created?
