I own a co-op and moved out, but I am trying to prevent eviction procedures. The property manager stated that I just need to submit a letter relinquishing my right to equity in the property. How can I draft a letter that ensures all my bases are covered and prevents future eviction attempts?

My 17-year-old daughter's 60-year-old ski coach became enraged and chased her approximately 50 feet into a building, then grabbed her by the upper arm and dragged her into an office, insisting that the woman support staff person leave because 'he needed the room.' While alone in the room, he yelled at my daughter in an intimidating manner, nose to nose, yelling that she was insubordinate. This exchange took approximately 10 minutes. We live in New York State. This happened last year in February. Is there cause for any action in this case based on what I have written? Since it was a year ago, would it be too late to take any action? Thank you.

I filed a Grievance and a Fee Dispute with the state bar against my lawyer for failure to remit payment of my settlement from 5+ years ago. The Fee Dispute committee decided in my favor, and now the lawyer has sent a check for the amount determined by the Arbitration Committee. I am also claiming interest and compensatory damages for the aggravation and legal misconduct. Would accepting this check now nullify my claim for compensatory damages and interest?

In Texas, a customer had his car towed to my shop on August 28, 2015. I provided him with the price to fix it or for diagnosis, but he never came to pay. Now, he wants to retrieve the car without paying anything. He owes me storage and diagnosis fees, correct? What are my options?

I purchased a car for my son and daughter-in-law, who promised to make payments. They are now separating, and she has the car. Can I have the car put into my name in case they get a divorce so that the car will not have to be sold and the money split?

When a subpoena is issued for payroll records to a business and their response to the courts is proven to be a lie, what are the laws pertaining to lying in their response, and can this be handled through a different county's DA if there is no faith in the local DA's office?
