After multiple domestic issues involving myself, my son, and his sons mother, the DeKalb County Sheriffs office has labeled us in the system for other Police organizations as 'Should be considered armed and dangerous' and my son as having 'Homicidal Tendencies'. At no time have weapons been involved or threats of harm made. These labels came to light after a car meets deer incident where a Lake County Deputy responded. I feel this action by the DeKalb County Sheriffs Office has put both of us in potential danger and infringed on our Civil Rights. I am considering filing a Civil Suit to have this slanderous information removed from the system. What steps should I take to address this issue?
