I paid child support to my ex-wife since our divorce in 1997. My child turned 18 three years ago, but I continued to pay support for the next three years, partly because she claimed I still owed her due to some missing payments over the 17 years. I plan to stop making payments as I am financially unable to now, and I want to know if I can be sued for alleged 'arrears' three years after my legal obligation ended. I have paid out an additional $18,000 since my child turned 18, which I consider to cover any 'arrears'. What are the legal implications of this situation, considering I live in California and my child and his mother live in Massachusetts?

Hello. I'm a 50-year-old with a clean criminal history. I'm visiting a state and will leave tomorrow. While here, I and another car nicked each other; I didn't stop. There was no damage to the cars. I'm concerned that if a police report was filed, I'll be arrested when I fly out and not able to return to work on time. What should I do?

I am in senior leadership in a large corporation and a client has requested sensitive information, which I am unsure is legal or ethical. I have escalated the issue to legal and my CEO, but they have not provided direction. The client has now threatened to have me fired if I do not provide the information. What legal actions can I take if I am fired, especially considering I am an army vet and over 50 years old, and the client's actions seem to be interfering with my economic relationship with the company?

My rent is due on the 1st of the month, with a one-day late grace period. On June 1, 2019, the 1st fell on a Saturday, and the bank closed at 1:00 pm. I did not make the payment, and the bank was closed on Sunday. I made the payment on Monday at 9:00 am. Does Sunday count as my 1-day grace period in the state of AZ? I signed an agreement for 2 years at $950, stipulating that if I were late, they would raise my rent to $1000 and charge a late fee of $25. My agreement goes to January 31, 2021. Now they are saying I am in default.
