We are a small struggling church in Huntsville, Alabama that would like to erect a programmable LED electronic billboard on our property. However, we are prohibited from installing a LED sign as the local sign ordinance does not allow LED signs in areas considered residential. If we take our plea to our local unelected variance committee, they shoot down our request as they do not want to set a precedent for other churches.
