I received a bill from a tax preparer in Virginia advising that I need to remit payment in the amount of $20,000.00 to a company that is no longer authorized to do business in MD. The company's status is 'forfeited.' The bill's company name is slightly different from the actual company name, and the original company, Jordan Kitt's, was sold to new owners. Why would I receive a bill from the relative of the original owner who is now deceased, and is this bill legal and valid?

I posted a picture I took during a company photoshoot on my personal social media accounts. The company is threatening to sue me for leaking their photoshoot concept, even though I am an employee and took the photos with my own camera. Can they sue me for this?

The company union contract for employees hired under an old contract states that they do not have to travel between locations, unlike new employees. Some locations are more than 60 miles from home and travel is not compensated. One employee under the old contract only travels to a store close to her home, placing the burden of traveling greater distances on others. My thoughts are that once she is willing to go to any store regardless of the distance, that should void her old contract and she should be required to travel to other stores as well, to make travel more fair to the rest of us. Is this considered unfair labor practices?

Can signatures be copyrighted, and if not, how do they differ from names in the eyes of copyright law? Additionally, could the Abraham Lincoln 1862 signature be considered a trademark for use in artwork?
