I have a slander and libel case filed in the Southern District Court of Mississippi. I missed a teleconference deadline and need to amend my initial case to cure jurisdictional defects. I have until July 3 to properly amend my complaint. What steps should I take to amend my case and address the jurisdictional issues, considering my health issues, my mother's Alzheimer's, my brother's brain damage from a prison-related incident, and my recent computer problems?

I've received a 'NO' response from a company regarding my proposed settlement for the unauthorized use of my image in their TV commercial. They have not provided any official correspondence in response to my letters. What are my legal options and alternative avenues for resolution in the Commonwealth of Virginia?

In Minnesota, if a court-appointed attorney for a civil commitment case is not protecting your rights, such as failing to petition the court for release when medical advice indicates no medical care is necessary, and allowing the client to become ill and subsequently civilly committed, can you request a new attorney, and under which professional responsibility rules would this scenario fall?

I've been receiving correspondence from multiple companies over the last three years regarding unclaimed funds in my name, all referencing an old address and a similar amount that seems to be increasing at a reasonable interest rate. I initially thought it was a scam since I've been unable to confirm on any unclaimed property website. Is it possible that these companies/individuals would actually have access to more information than the average person would?
