The summons form offers the option to pay the fine and fees by mail, but requires a 'Waiver of a Trial (Plea of Guilty).' The form states I have the right to plead guilty, not guilty, or nolo contendere, but it's unclear if I can plead nolo contendere on the form or only in court. Can I change the 'Plea of Guilty' on the form to Nolo Contendere and pay the fine/fees by mail without going to court?

My sons dad and I separated. He informed me that he was moving, and I decided to accept a new job in Washington DC. When I informed my son’s dad of this, he was very upset and threatened to take me to court. My question is around whether or not I can take my son out of state. Since my son’s in school, can I take him and enroll him in a new school or should I let him finish the school year first and then take him?

My husband was represented by a lawyer back in July 2005, and he passed away 7 years ago. Is there any way I can still get a hold of certain paperwork filed with his lawyer? The new lawyer is requesting the paperwork, and I've tried looking for information to maybe an associate the lawyer had, but there's nothing. I was told by the court clerk that they had no copies. What can I do to get those documents?
