I received a United States District Court Violation Notice for 36 CFR 4.14(b) for having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle at Cape Lookout National Seashore. The violation occurred when I moved a can of beer in my truck to let someone else move their vehicle. The park ranger issued the citation after inspecting my vehicle. I have the option to pay a fine without going to court. What type of violation is this? Is it like a parking ticket or a misdemeanor? As a federal employee with a security clearance, do I need to report this, or should I just pay the fine instead of seeking an attorney to fight it in court?

I live in an apartment in San Jose, California. Management has asked me to move furniture that is blocking walkways. The entryway to my apartment is 14' x 46" and I have a chest of drawers measuring 4' x 13.5" along the right side of the entryway, leaving a walking area of 33" deep for 4'. I am seeking legal advice on whether I need to comply with this request and what the legal minimum distance for hallways or passageways in an apartment is.

I have filed an eviction on a tenant in Florida. They have elected to send a written response within their 5 days. What can I expect to happen next, and what should I do if the tenant agrees in writing to leave before the trial?
