I received an attorney letter from a debt collector requesting fees and to return the letter. I owe the debt, but I had previously reached a settlement with the debtor and requested a six-month extension, which was not responded to. The attorney claims I failed to respond and is now seeking fees. Do I send the fees with the letter, and is the amount they calculated correct?

I received a notice of rig hit to cure default for my car and the last day for payment was 12/10/2022. I want to make a payment today but do not have the full amount. I don’t know if I should call and talk with them or just send in what I have online if I am not locked out of my account. Additionally, I’m worried about my car’s condition and my bad credit, and I’m looking for options to refinance or trade in my car for a less expensive one.
