Is it a HIPAA violation for a hospital to call my mom instead of me to discuss my health, especially when I am an adult and provided them with my call-back number? I never gave them my mother's number or permission to contact her about my health.

I am sending a hospital $50.00 a month, and my husband is also paying $50.00 a month. Together, we owe $10,000 to one hospital. I have had four surgeries in two years and am trying to pay everyone something. I am now on Medicaid. What steps can I take to manage this debt, and what are my options if the hospital demands a higher monthly payment and threatens to turn me over to collections?

I received a notice of rig hit to cure default for my car and the last day for payment was 12/10/2022. I want to make a payment today but do not have the full amount. I don’t know if I should call and talk with them or just send in what I have online if I am not locked out of my account. Additionally, I’m worried about my car’s condition and my bad credit, and I’m looking for options to refinance or trade in my car for a less expensive one.

I'm bisexual and was in a relationship with another guy. After breaking up, he blackmailed/threatened to release my nudity, threatened to physically assault me, and falsely accused me of rape. We are currently on good terms, but I'm worried he might threaten me again if I end the friendship. My goal is to avoid court and have formal documentation of his confession that all past sexual intercourse was consensual. What is the best solution to my problem? Is mediation a good idea? (He has agreed to organize an agreement where I can't take him to court for the illegal things he did to me in exchange for his confession that the accusations were false and all sexual intercourse was consensual.)
