I recently discovered that I was supposed to become a payee for my husband, even though I am his power of attorney. I have been managing his finances for years, but I did not save receipts and the money was going into a joint account. I am being interviewed to become a payee next week. Can I refuse to be the payee after the interview? Will they ask for receipts from past expenses, and if so, how far back? What should I do if they ask for money back, especially since I did not intentionally mismanage the funds?

In a Kentucky civil breach of contract case, my ex-wife and I had a contract where I would renovate her home to increase its sale value, and we would split the proceeds after paying off an HVAC loan. The house sold for $56,000 more than expected due to my renovations, but she has not paid me my share. I filed a motion, and her representation filed a motion for leave to file an amended answer and counterclaim. The judge granted her leave, but I served discovery questions that exposed her lies in the amended answers and countermotion. She filed the permitted proposal shown to the judge as Ex. A after my discovery, changing important facts. I was ordered to cooperate and do their deposition tomorrow, but I only had a week and a half to prepare as a pro se litigant. What should I do regarding filing a motion to strike her amended answer and counterclaim, asking for sanctions, and reverting back to my original motion for summary judgment? Also, what are examples of harassing/argumentative behavior/questions to object to during the deposition?

I received an unexpected email from a debt collector claiming I owe $2000 for a cell phone bill from around 2016-2017. I have not received any prior notifications or correspondence regarding this debt and it does not appear on my credit report. I am concerned about the potential impact on my credit score and whether this old debt can still be added to my credit report. How should I handle this situation and what are the legal implications given the age of the debt?
