I filed for divorce on 2/11, but due to COVID and missing deadlines, I received a letter stating the case will be dismissed. I am in Auburn, WA, King County (Seattle), and I am opening a business. I need to know if I should file for separation to secure my assets and ensure my spouse cannot access them. Additionally, I need guidance on how to proceed with the divorce case since it is being dismissed.

I am representing myself in a New York civil lawsuit where I am the defendant. The case was originally grouped with LLCs that I am a 50% owner in. Due to filing Chapter 11, there was a stay issued to the LLCs but not to me as an individual defendant. I am about to participate in a 341 meeting under oath, where I will be asked questions by the US Trustee and plaintiff’s counsel. I am concerned about involuntarily violating my pro se rights and potentially weakening my state case by providing information that should be kept private or discussing my defense strategy. Can I refuse to answer some questions on the basis that there is a conflict of interest and that it may violate my rights as an individual defendant?
