In New York, Suffolk County, can I send my response to a complaint (motion to strike) via certified mail or does it have to be through a process server? If I send it via certified mail, do I need to include a return envelope for the court's stamped copy, and when is the deadline for filing my response?

My son got in trouble at his Texas high school, as defined by the student handbook. The school called the local chief of police to investigate, who determined no charges would be filed. The principal now wants to call this an on-campus matter, disregarding the police's opinion. Can they have it both ways, especially since the chief of police wrote a report and gave it to the local district attorney, who also determined the situation to be non-criminal?

The pump was sent to the bottom of the well, requiring two days to retrieve and repair, costing $180. However, the pump failed two days later due to the initial damage, necessitating a replacement pump costing $1300. The moving company accused me of duplicating work orders and offered to pay only $180 for the first visit. What can I do?
