I signed a contract for a wedding dress in Pennsylvania, which states that the 60% deposit required to purchase the dress is non-refundable. However, the vendor allowed me to pay 40% of this 60% in a 'payment plan' without any written agreement. Due to a family emergency, I requested a refund, but the vendor claimed they had already placed a 'pre-order' with my payment, which was not mentioned in the contract. The vendor provided no evidence for this 'pre-order'. I have filed complaints with the attorney general and BBB, but I am unsure if I can get a refund or if the vendor can sue me for not proceeding with the contract. What are my legal options?
