Do grandfather clauses exist in a parking violation? I've lived in my house in Winter Park, FL for 34 years and was annexed into the city about 8 years ago. I live in New York and have been receiving threatening calls from a company named the Alliance Group. The person calling is XXXXX XXXXX, and they leave a phone number of 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX. I received an automated call stating that there is now a lien on all my state and federal income tax refunds since I haven't responded to previous calls. I can't reach this person or anyone at the company, and I want to know if they can legally do this. I have never received paperwork about this, and I'm wondering what I can do to defend myself. I want to send a Cease & Desist letter and validate this supposed debt, but I can't find an address. What should I do?

The parents are concerned about the child being taken from them overnight or longer due to her medical condition and potential for further trauma. What are the parents' rights in Georgia regarding involuntary commitment and can they decline to have their child taken from them?
