I've identified violations by FINRA and am a shareholder of MMTLP. I want to sue FINRA but know they have immunity and no monetary damages can be awarded. I have evidence such as FOIA responses and a brokerage's failure to fulfill fiduciary duty. How can I address these issues effectively?

Is it wise to inform a creditor that I will be forced to protect my wages and bank with an exemption if we do not reach a settlement? Additionally, can I mention my financial hardship, the fact that I am the sole income provider for a family of five, and the possibility of filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy if a settlement cannot be reached? The lawsuit is for $5300, which includes collection attorney costs and fees. Would it be realistic to offer a lump sum of $2000 as a settlement?
