I was detained by US military security forces in Japan without being granted a lawyer, despite multiple requests. I was denied the right to leave and was held in a room for over 3 hours until I provided the information they wanted. I was also issued a hit and run ticket on government property. I don't trust my chain of command and have had difficulty contacting the Airman Defense Council. What are my rights under Article 31 of the UCMJ, and how can I proceed with legal action?
