I was given 72 hours to sign a lease for an apartment without seeing the actual unit. After touring the unit, I found that the windows do not shut properly, allowing noise and air to come in, and I could only open one window 2 inches with all my strength. I've asked the leasing company to reassign me to a new apartment or repair the windows, but they offered a smaller apartment for $25 more per month. What are my rights and what steps should I take?
