I was recently given a summons for first offense shoplifting under $100 in Maine. I feel awful about it and cannot afford an attorney. What should I expect in court, and can I plea guilty to possibly qualify for a diversion program to keep this off my record?

Additionally, if the wife has since passed away, how can I obtain a copy of the joint will they signed before the husband's death?
