Can the defendant request a postponement or a continuance in a civil case?

I was given a judgement of $7,000.00 on August 1, 2020. I am seeking any money held in the registry funds and an attorney just mailed me a notice of written submission on 8/10. What can I do to obtain the money and find out how much it is? I am in Texas and the judgement was issued on August 1, 2022. I have a judgement from the judge. The defendant is in jail and the lawyers are trying to operate without him being present.

Is it true that the statute of limitations does not apply to a disabled person in California? I was defamed in 2017 but due to being blind and disabled, I was unable to pursue it within the statutory time frame. Additionally, my mother and step-father sabotaged my personal injury case by lying to the insurance company about my injuries and tampering with evidence. The case was settled in my favor, but I was told that my disability might exempt me from the statute of limitations.

I had an accident and my license was suspended due to old tickets. I've paid them off, but now I have to pay a fee of $205.00. The clerk told me I could pay online. How do I get to that site to pay that? Additionally, I'm in Dallas now but have to go back to Memphis to take the driver's test again and road test to get my license back. What steps should I take next, and should I consult a lawyer before paying the fee?

My HOA is demanding I store my garbage can behind an iron fence, even though I was told when I moved in 14 years ago that I could store it behind a bush, which I have been doing without issue. The rule states the garbage can should not be identifiable from the street, and mine is not, unlike those behind iron fences. The HOA is threatening fines if I don't comply. What should I do?
