Is it true that the statute of limitations does not apply to a disabled person in California? I was defamed in 2017 but due to being blind and disabled, I was unable to pursue it within the statutory time frame. Additionally, my mother and step-father sabotaged my personal injury case by lying to the insurance company about my injuries and tampering with evidence. The case was settled in my favor, but I was told that my disability might exempt me from the statute of limitations.

I had an accident and my license was suspended due to old tickets. I've paid them off, but now I have to pay a fee of $205.00. The clerk told me I could pay online. How do I get to that site to pay that? Additionally, I'm in Dallas now but have to go back to Memphis to take the driver's test again and road test to get my license back. What steps should I take next, and should I consult a lawyer before paying the fee?

My HOA is demanding I store my garbage can behind an iron fence, even though I was told when I moved in 14 years ago that I could store it behind a bush, which I have been doing without issue. The rule states the garbage can should not be identifiable from the street, and mine is not, unlike those behind iron fences. The HOA is threatening fines if I don't comply. What should I do?

If a primary care practice owned by non-physician owners is closing due to bankruptcy and they have no way to pay staff, is it the responsibility of the providers to ensure adequate care to avoid being found at fault for medical abandonment, or is it the responsibility of the business owners to provide a transition for patients to a new primary care?

I paid a landscaper for a job in Northfield, OH, but he has not completed the work. There is no written contract, but we have text messages documenting the agreement. What are my options for resolving this issue, and what steps should I take to pursue legal action in Small Claims Court?

My lawyer verbally told me about a trial date on 6/9/2022, but the judge had no record of it. He then set a new trial date for November 2022 and asked for $2,500.00 as a retainer and another $2,500.00 after the trial. I offered $5,000.00 for the 2-day trial, but he later asked for $10,000.00 upfront. Is this fair, and what should I do since I suspect he is not acting in my best interest?
