At our condo board of directors meeting in January, the board voted to place a $157,000 assessment for redecorating on the ballot for our annual membership meeting. However, when I received my letter announcing the meeting, two weeks before the meeting, there was a note from the president stating that the vote for the assessment would not happen and would be sent out for a vote at a later date. Since the board voted to place this on the ballot at a legally advertised board meeting, should this not have been voted on at a legally advertised board meeting?

I have a BoA credit card with $11k owed, a significant portion of which is interest. They are offering to settle at $3400, but I have no job or savings and may need to borrow from a relative. They are giving me a final notice and say if I pay, they will close the account. What does this mean for me short and long term? What is bad debt and what could happen if I can't come up with the settlement money? I have never missed a payment on my BoA home mortgage until six months ago. Is there a way to combine both debts? How should I handle this moving forward?

On controlled-access highways in Georgia, such as GA HWY 400, on-ramps start with two lanes that narrow to one lane before merging with the highway. Are the proper procedures for vehicles starting in the left lane to continue in that lane and for vehicles starting in the right lane to merge into the left lane when safe to do so? Is there any Georgia law, statute, code, or other document that describes these procedures?

I made a van payment on February 26, but on February 28, DBS Financial repossessed my van, even though I was only one payment behind. They claimed it was because of no contact. Can they legally repossess my van for this reason?
