I work for a nursing facility as the financial manager. A few months after I started, the Payroll Benefits Coordinator (PBC) and Accounts Payable person resigned. The old PBC wrote a letter to the facility supervisor stating false information about the new PBC and myself 'running the show' while the supervisor was away on vacation. The letter also falsely claimed that we were gossiping about the supervisor being fired. The envelope was handwritten, and I have old documents showing the old PBC's handwriting, which matches the envelope. Do I have legal recourse demonstrating sabotage is transpiring with a former employee?
