If a non-medical contractor was never trained in HIPAA laws, took a picture containing PHI but also blurred the images, can they be held personally liable? Would that fall under their employer or company that owns the contract? Are contractors (construction, physical security, electricians, etc.) bound by HIPAA rules? What happens if the contractor was not formally educated on HIPAA or made to review an NDA or anything like it? In the event that no legible information was compromised, would that still constitute a violation? If it could be reasonably assumed that taking said image and coming across information was unavoidable as a result of the nature of the work, would that also work as a proper defense?

I bought a 4-unit property in June with no tenant contracts signed. One tenant has not paid rent, received multiple termination notices, and has been a nuisance to neighbors. I have mailed letters, spoken verbally, and recorded acts of nuisance. The tenant promised to leave by December 1st but now refuses. What legal steps should I take to evict this tenant?

I was in independent living, and the therapist broke HIPAA laws. When I reported her, I was kicked out. I want to know what legal options I have against the institution and how strong my case is.

What legal action can be taken against a spouse who no longer lives with you and is trying to sabotage you economically by maxing out personal credit cards without your knowledge, overdrawing a joint checking account, transferring money from joint accounts to her own private account, deleting a Facebook business page, intercepting replacement debit and credit cards, and threatening to take the car you use for work?

I gave a contractor $21,500 in May to do excavating and septic work, but the job has not been completed correctly. He admits to not doing the job correctly or finishing it. I've been asking for an itemized bill for five months and today received a fabricated receipt without actual purchase details for the septic. I suspect he stole around $10,000 from me. I'm in Wyoming. How long have you been dealing with this issue? Where do things currently stand? Since May 17, 2021, I've been dealing with this. I had to pay another contractor to redo the foundation that was dug incorrectly. The septic is installed but not finished or covered. He has my money and gave me a personal receipt. Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Other than he took my money, lied to me, caused me to be seven months behind on building my home, and left a mess behind.

My ex is claiming she can take my son away from me because he is having bad behavior at school, which occurs mostly during transitions between our homes. We have a 50/50 joint and legal custody arrangement. How likely is it for the court to change custody based on school behavior, and what other resources could be considered?
