We are trying to adopt an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) but are facing pushback from the property owners, who are using the insurance excuse to delay approval. Our lease states that we need the landlord's written approval for pets or animals. Can the landlord deny us based on insurance concerns, and what should we do if we do not hear from them soon?

I was involved in a car accident where the other driver clearly caused the collision, as shown by my dash cam footage. I want to pursue both a criminal misdemeanor charge against the other driver and a civil lawsuit for the diminished value of my 2020 Lexus ES350, which sustained $9000 in damages and has 2400 miles on it. I am located in Louisville, Kentucky. What steps should I take, and do I need different types of lawyers for each action?

I lived with my fiancée in her parents' house where an altercation occurred. My fiancée is on the Autism Spectrum Disorder and has several mental disorders, while her brother is also autistic but low functioning and violent. During a meltdown, her father kicked down our door, pointed a loaded gun at us, and threatened to kill us. I called 911 and was arrested despite being the main victim. My fiancée, who is hypersensitive and on heavy sedating medications, was manipulated by her father to lie to the police. My question is, given my fiancée's condition and the circumstances, how can I get the father charged and sue him for emotional distress, lying to the police, threatening to kill us with a loaded firearm, and abusing people with mental disabilities?
