I was involved in a mandatory CSLB arbitration case for up to $15k in California. The arbitrator awarded the plaintiff the maximum amount without any documents proving damages, despite having a list of items mentioned during the hearing. The plaintiff never supplied invoices for any work performed, and I have a Home Improvement Contract that states I'm not financially responsible if issues are found and repaired by someone other than me. Can I file a complaint against the arbitrator with specific details to the Arbitrator's superior and state of California?

A company worked on my house, causing increased condensation in the attic's a/c unit and resulting in water damage. Their insurance company won't release funds for repairs until I sign a 'Property Damage Release & Settlement' which includes a release of all claims. I'm concerned about signing it because I might find more damage later and don't want to be liable for those costs. What should I do?

The auto shop returned my car with multiple problems: nicks in paint, leak into car, window won't go down all the way, and vibration at 65 mph. They wanted me to give it back right away at the end of July, but since it is a convertible, I told the owner that I would bring it in in September. I also held $3200 back on payment. He has already received $11,000. I emailed him last week on the 19th and 23rd saying I wanted to drop it off on the day after Labor Day for one week to be repaired. No response. The second email said if there was no response by yesterday, I was to assume he did not want to complete the job. I am sending a certified letter today to him stating about the emails and that I am getting the rest of my repairs done elsewhere with the remaining funds. My concern is when he sees my name, he won't sign for the letter. Any advice would be appreciated.
