In 2005, I was arrested in Virginia for concealment, which I did not commit but was charged with a misdemeanor. After completing community service, my case was dismissed. I have been trying for 2 weeks to find out what state my brother was in when he died in order to get the death certificate, but I am not having much luck getting the answer. I was on ancestry.com and found a Social Security death certificate with his SS number and birthdate, but I am on a fixed income and cannot afford the fees to get more information. How can I find out the state of his death without incurring additional costs?
