Colin V. asked
I have been trying for 2 weeks to find out what state my brother was in when he died in order to get the death certificate, but I am not having much luck getting the answer. I was on ancestry.com and found a Social Security death certificate with his SS number and birthdate, but I am on a fixed income and cannot afford the fees to get more information. How can I find out the state of his death without incurring additional costs?

My homeowner association says I cannot place solar panels on my roof, where they will be most efficient. Can I put them on the roof, and is there any hope in Texas for similar legal support as seen in Arizona?

My ex-wife is taking me to small claims court in Michigan for a 9-year-old medical bill that was part of a divorce settlement. I have not received any bill or been notified of any collection by the provider. I have been a resident of New Mexico since 2001. Can I file a motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction? If so, how do I do that?
