In a healthcare program with clinical fieldwork, the Director can deny students access to clinical fieldwork based on their Personal Development Assessment (PDA) scores, even after they have completed and passed all core classes. Additionally, students are required to drive 3-4 hours for clinical fieldwork, which is 11 weeks long. Is this practice legal, and what rights do students have if they disagree with the PDA scores or find the driving distance excessive?
