In a legal case, the opposing party has filed a late response with additional substantiations and is demanding sanctions. The court hearing is scheduled for tomorrow. Is it possible for the court to strike the late response, and if the opposing party shows up to defend the OSC, does it mean they forfeit the right to demand personal service? Additionally, if the opposing party's affidavit is hearsay, what steps should be taken to address this issue?
